Well, I decided to do a little bit of foot pampering today at home, as summer is trying to wrap itself up, and…um…yeah, I don’t really have an excuse. It needed to be done. *slowly walks away in shame* Found a little footbath recipe online that calls for 1/2 to 1 cup of vinegar added to the water, and your feet are supposed to soak for 20-45 minutes. The vinegar is supposed to help remove dead skin and calluses. Yucky, I know. So I went downstairs and grabbed the HoMedics foot spa that has been down there for years, yet has never been used. Don’t ask. *Speaking of, what ever happened to my facial steamer? Haven’t seen it in many years. Huh.*
Anyhoo, I added water and 1/2 cup of vinegar, and fired this puppy up. Aaaah, heat and bubbles. I let my feet soak for about 20 minutes while I caught up on my online reading for the afternoon. After the soak, I took my Mr. Pumice Contour Shape Bar and scrubbed my feet down.
The result? No, I’m not posting pics of my feet. lol But oh glorious day! Feet that were soft, supple, and fun to touch, oh my! Rinsed my feet, put on a little bit of Bag Balm (if you don’t know, you’d better ask somebody!), should have thrown on some socks, but you know, whatever, and went on about my day! Try it out if you get a chance. You just might like what you see…er, feel. 🙂
