Quick PSA Post: January Is Thyroid Awareness Month

I’m not one to really share a lot of personal details about my life (which kind of drives my friends and family nuts at times), but thyroid disease is something that affects me personally and affects several of my family members and friends. It’s hard to explain an illness to people that is rarely discussed by doctors or the media, even though it affects over 30 million Americans. It can really make life difficult, especially before diagnosis, butΒ withΒ the right doctors who actually want you to feel better, and the right medications and lifestyle changes, it’s manageable. If you even remotely think that something might be off with your thyroid, please get it checked. It’s important. Be proactive about your health. πŸ˜‰
